What Parts Make Full Form Bridge Crane

A full form bridge crane generally consist of a bridge frame, lifting mechanism, traveling mechanism, control room, conductor system (trolley power supply and crane main power supply).

1. Bridge Frame:

The bridge frame is the basic component of the bridge crane, which consists of the main girder, end carriage, walking platform and other parts. The main girder is above the span. The end carriages are fitted on the 2 ends of the main bridge girder, and there are walking platforms and safety railings on the outside of the main girders. The trolley moving mechanism is installed on the side of the cabin, and the power supply device for the electric equipment of the trolley is installed on the other side. There are guide rails on the main girders for the trolley to move. The entire bridge crane moves along the guide rails along the length of the workshop.

2. Crane Traveling Mechanism:

The crane traveling mechanism is composed of crane driving motor, transmission shaft, reducer, wheels and brakes, etc. There are two driving modes: centralized drive and separate drive.

3. Trolley Traveling Mechanism:

The trolley is placed on the bridge girder and moving on the guide rails doing cross-travel on the span. The trolley consists of a trolley frame, a trolley moving mechanism and a lifting mechanism.

The moving mechanism of the trolley is composed of the trolley motor, brake, coupling, reducer and wheels. The trolley motor drives the driving wheel of the trolley through the reducer, making trolley to move along the guide rail. Since the driving wheels of the trolley are close to each other, it is driven by a motor.

4. Lifting Mechanism:

The lifting mechanism is composed of a lifting motor, a reducer, a reel, and a brake. The hoisting motor is connected to the reducer through the coupling and the brake wheel. The output shaft of the reducer is connected to the reel that is wound with the wire rope. The other end of the wire rope is equipped with a hook. The reel rotates for Winding or unwinding to rise or fall wire ropes.

5. Control Room:

The control room is the place for operating the crane, also known as the cabin. In the control room, there are crane and trolley control devices, lifting mechanism control devices and crane protection devices.

The control room is generally fixed at one end of the main girder, and a few are installed under the trolley and move with the trolley. There is a hatch leading to the walking platform above the control room, for the maintenance personnel to go up and down when inspecting crane and electrical equipment.
